Based in Tamworth- you will market our exciting portfolio of print, mobile and online products to new and existing local customers. You will be responsible for selling multi-media solutions to companies across your allocated territory across the West Midlands via arranged business meetings. As part of our close-knit, motivated team, you’ll be responsible for developing existing territories and increasing market share.
What you’ll be doing
Working for Local World as part of the Trinity Mirror Group you will work across our iconic brands - The Tamworth Herald & Sutton Coldfield Observer.
From large organisations to small local businesses you’ll become their marketing expert as an extension of their business. With a consultative approach you will:
- help with their planning of yearly campaign advertising, ‘call to action’ campaigns or ad hoc activity
- design bespoke campaigns built around the customer needs, present the advertising solutions, brief your creative team and follow the process through
- analyse results and provide digital statistics to customers with full client account care.
- Educate customers on the best approach to print and digital products
- develop a clear understanding of their businesses, building trust and confidence
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a passionate and driven sales professional who is able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the competitive environment in which the Trinity Mirror plc business operates. You’ll have a field or telesales background with a full driving licence. We’ll give you full product training as well as ample scope to develop your career. You will be comfortable with sales targets and be goal orientated.

Our training courses are accredited by the Byrne Partnership, who established the ‘Media Sales Qualification’ for publishers, in association with the Newspaper Society in 2001. We have a structured development programme for new starters joining our commercial teams which includes formal training, coaching and mentoring to really help you get off to a flying start.
