Were looking for someone to help hire and then lead a team of four people to create this content and publish it on the Mirror and our regional titles - ensuring that we hit our UK page-view targets for this content.
Were looking for someone who can help the team come up with content using Playbuzz that will be: successful on social; have long-lasting, evergreen appeal; or be a fresh, engaging take on trending news. Youll lead by example with your own content creation.
You should also understand analytics and how to use it to decide what is and isnt successful. And you should have good people skills to make sure your team works well alongside other teams covering the same broad areas.

The Ideal Candidate
You could be working anywhere in digital media as long as youve got the right skills and experience of creating engaging content that delivers a large audience.
You must have experience of being responsible for publishing of a section or site. Line management experience is desirable. You might, for instance, have been editor or deputy of a site section or been responsible for editing others work.
You must also have an awareness of legal issues around libel and privacy.
Youll be adept at social media and know what works and what doesnt on Facebook and Twitter. Youll also know how to spot and jump on a trending search term.
Some weekend and shift working may be required around big events
